HOME FOR THE HOLIDADS is a project of Fathers Incorporated and Furthering Fathering. We recognized that when a parent is incarcerated, it leaves an undue burden of those family members that the circumstance leaves behind. There are many programs designed to provide services for incarcerated parents through re-entry services, however, quite often the children are left behind.

The HOME FOR THE HOLIDADS project is designed to provide some joy around the holiday season when love ones are missed the most. Research reminds us that a family's income can decrease by 22% when a parent is incarcerated. Thus having an immediate financial impact on children at this special time of the year. Families are selected via our programmatic relationships with area facilities. Incarcerated dads are chosen by our staff and we provide a special holiday for his children. This year the dads are selected from Rockdale County Jail in Georgia.
